Experience
Michael is the newest member of the firm and is focusing his practice on employment litigation. Specifically, he is handling wage-and-hour actions on behalf of employees who have not been paid overtime or given lunch breaks and wrongful termination cases.
While in law school, Michael concentrated heavily on debtor-creditor/bankruptcy and banking law. He also interned at the Forsyth County (North Carolina) District Attorney's Office, the National Labor Relations Board, and the Ventura County District Attorneys Office. He received the CALI Award for Labor Law in 2005.
Community Involvement
Michael is heavily involved in the charitable and social components of the Ventura County Bar Association. As a member of the Barristers of the Ventura County Bar Association, Michael helped found an annual basketball tournament that benefits various charitable organizations, including FOOD Share and the Ventura YMCA.
Professional Recognition
Michael was elected President of the Barristers of the Ventura County Bar Association for 2009. He also serves on the Editorial Board of Citatations legal magazine, the Boards of the local Lawyer and Information Referral Service and the Ventura County Bar Association.

Interests
Michael is very interested in many types of sports, including surfing, soccer, and tennis. He often hikes in the local mountains with his wife and dogs. He has traveled extensively through Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean, and he speaks Spanish and French. He loves the Lakers. He also built this website.
